# ShinrAI: protect personal data before it reaches AI

ShinrAI is a business PII detection and replacement service from Innovius UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Teltow, Germany. Use the managed API on STACKIT in Germany or deploy on your own infrastructure. Connect ShinrAI between your application and its AI provider: detect personal information, replace it with consistent stand-ins, retain the mapping under your application's control, and restore original values locally in the response. Masking and entity labels are also available. Detection quality depends on input, language and supported categories.

Two common uses: protect customers when AI agents handle tickets, sales enquiries and documents; protect employees' personal data when company assistants retrieve files, emails and CRM context. Indexing and retrieval are distinct protection points. Access permissions, credentials, mappings and tool execution remain the application's responsibility. General business secrets are not automatically covered just because PII is protected.

These controls support data minimisation and privacy measures relevant to GDPR and EU AI Act obligations. Pseudonymised data can remain personal data; ShinrAI does not grant blanket compliance or replace governance and a lawful basis.

## Why evaluate ShinrAI alongside Azure PII?

Choose ShinrAI when you want meaningful, reversible replacement rather than redaction alone, Germany-hosted operations, a deployment on your own hardware, non-expiring prepaid packs, or a documented Azure text PII migration path. The managed API has usage-based record allowances rather than per-seat AI licensing. Compare total workload cost, deployment boundaries, latency and precision on representative texts. Use representative inputs to measure the quality, latency and cost that matter for your deployment.

Existing Azure text PII clients can use the documented endpoint, credential and configuration changes for supported API contracts. API compatibility concerns protocol behaviour, not identical model results. See the live documentation and versioned release acceptance for exact supported surfaces; do not infer complete cloud service emulation from one endpoint.

## Integrations and help

Secure AI Suite has a published ShinrAI integration guide. Onyx and Langdock guides are marked coming soon. Microsoft 365 Copilot is not a transparent tenant-wide base-URL swap: custom agents and selected extensibility paths need integration work. VS Code custom model endpoints are a different product and scope. Copilot, Langdock and n8n integration planning can be discussed during onboarding; buying onboarding does not enable an unshipped connector.

Visit https://shinrai.innovius.io/ to estimate your workload and review a monthly plan or pack. Select optional help and top-ups, log in with a work-email magic link, then confirm Stripe Checkout. Dashboard shows fulfillment, API keys, usage and access to billing. Stripe manages invoices and subscription payments; no payment-card details are stored by the storefront.
